RezList’s Full-Service, “Flat Fee” Vs. Other Traditional Brokerage Fees

How can you save on paying agent and brokerage commissions when you’re buying or selling a home?

For one thing, you can try and talk them into lowering their rates. If that’s not possible, you can negotiate for additional services or ask them to cover miscellaneous fees.

Then, there’s the RezList option.

RezList is a California-based brokerage that offers full real estate services for a flat fee and a for home sellers and a fixed 2.5% rate for home buyers.

RezList has a flat rate for home sellers

The most important feature that differentiates us from other traditional brokerages and brokerage fees are our flat rates.

RezList offers only two flat fees:

  • $3,999 – for homes listed below $850,000
  • $5,999 – for homes above $850,000

This flat rate includes the fee for listing the seller’s home in the Multiple Listing Service, as well as the seller agent’s commission.

Traditionally, brokerage fees charge from 5% to 6% of the property’s selling price, with the commission being evenly split between the seller’s agent and the buyer’s agent. These fees are usually double, or even triple the amount of the flat fees RezList charges.

RezList flat fees allow you to save more money

Whether you’re buying or selling a home, you save more money with the RezList flat fees. While traditional brokerage fees take up a small percentage of the sale of your home, it is still a noticeable cut from your profit, with the typical commission rate for each agent being 3%.

Due to the RezList fees being fixed at 2.5% for home buyers and $3,999 for home sellers, these fees save you a lot more money on commission fees. Home buyers get to save roughly 16% more while home sellers save 80-90% more compared to traditional brokerage fees.

RezList uses a flat fee because we believe that the money earned from your home sale is your hard-earned equity. We know that with our flat fees and full real estate services, you’ll still get your money’s worth. You can also check out our savings calculator on the RezList website’s homepage.

RezList flat fees still provides full real estate services

Many flat fee brokerages and For Sale By Owner (FSBO) methods offer clients a fixed rate to have their homes listed on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS). Clients aren’t represented by any real estate agents and brokers, leaving most of the marketing and home showing up to the client themselves.

However, with RezList, you’ll still get the complete real estate package to help sell your home. We have an extensive checklist of what to do before, during, and after the sale of your home. From discussing with you on how to go about selling your home to marketing it extensively, we give you the assurance that our agents won’t cut corners when it comes to pushing your home to a network of potential buyers.

Our flat fees can make all the difference in your real estate transaction. If you want to know more about what we do and how we do it, give us a call.
